**RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 YEARS AND UP DUE TO SEXUAL SITUATIONS, VIOLENCE AND STRONG LANGUAGE.
HAWKE IS A STANDALONE BOOK.**
Hawke Navarro. A criminal. A murderer. The former President of the most notorious MC around. The law thinks he's dead, and he needs to stay that way.
But there's a problem, and her name is Tyler Wilson.
He promised her old man he would look out for her as he died in Hawke's arms. He wanted her to steer clear from the club and live an ordinary life.
But Ty lingers. She grows and she's not the little girl Hawke remembered her to be. And soon he can't look at her as that little girl anymore. Not with those curves, or that face, or those sinfully tasty lips.
Hawke is determined to stay away; determined never to go back to that life.
But with a new threat on the horizon, Tyler's life hangs in the balance as trust is questioned and secrets threaten to tear her world apart, leaving Hawke no choice but to return.

Main characters: Hawke and Tyler.Supporting characters: Gus, Jesse, Marshall, Jinny, Kirk, and Hector. Shay. Abram and Yuri. A few others.
Hawke is a standalone MC story. Story was told in alternating POV's between Hawke and Tyler. The story contained violent scenes. It contained some sex scenes.
Tyler grew up a "club brat" making the Warlords MC her home to a clubhouse full of guys. Tyler was at least ten years younger than Hawke yet had always had an attraction to him. Hawke was given orders by Dennis to protect his daughter Tyler.
Hawke used to be the president of the Warlords until he went to prison. While Hawke was in prison Hector became the president. Hawke excelled at being president while Hector was stuck in the shadow of his success.Hector had a revolving door of women he had sex with. Hector spent his time drinking and screwing. Hector had no business bring president. Hawke on the other hand was a great businessman and a great president. Hawke knew how to give orders and maintain structure. Hawke was a hardened criminal; a murderer; a fugitive.
Tyler was a distraction that Hawke tried to ignore. Tyler was able to ease her way into his arms. As a kid she was good at eavesdropping and hearing information that only club members were privy to. Tyler had always considered herself a member of the Warlords. Tyler was aware of the business deals yet Hawke tried to keep her eyes innocent to the killings and beatings. Tyler was a feminine young lady having grown up in a mans world. Tyler had seen the men fornicating, drinking, dealing, and fighting. Hawke tried to shelter Tyler from the corruption of the MC but Tyler continued to remain stubborn.
Hawke was hard and masculine compared to Tyler who was soft and feminine. The desire Tyler exuded for Hawke made you want to rip him through the pages of your book and seduce him yourself. The sexual tension escalated every time these two were in the same room. Hawke exuded great control around Tyler.
The anticipation for this sexual encounter was painful at times. Hawke gave a valiant effort if holding back his own desire for Tyler.
Hawkes story as President, in the past, to a hitman, working for Borden, and trying to stave odd becoming President again was quite enticing.
I felt connected to the characters and the story line was engaging.
While it's clear that the Warlords MC were no different from any other club dealing with drugs, girls, murder, and money laundering what was different was the direction of the story. RJ does not waste the readers time rehashing what is obvious in the dealings of business of a MC instead she moved beyond the obvious and into a clever tale involving Tyler. RJ did an amazing job including several characters into this story while not taking away from the main characters.
This was not a story about club guys partying and hooking up with girls even though it was a MC story. RJ spins her own tale about Hawke, a man who struggled with himself while Tyler gave him the stare. RJ has a way of writing about men who should not deserve innocent beautiful young women.

HAWKE edition by RJ Lewis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is a great book, and while it's technically an MC book, because it takes place in an MC, it's really about two people. And those people are all you need. Hawke Navarro may have been Marcus Borden's right hand man, but he's no second place character. And Tyler is an MC brat who knows what she wants and is still waiting... impatiently, albeit naively for a man who is far more than she understands.
Using the same alternating first/third POV narration from the Borden duo, Lewis builds the life of Hawke, a character that plays a fantastic foil in Borden, and Tyler, who we met briefly.
The only critique I can give is the wrap up. It was rather quick. The reason I don't hold it against the author, is because we've been given the nature of our H... and he acts fast, so it's within the nature of the character.
I love this book, these characters, and I think that it is a great way to round out the duo. It isn't necessary to read the duo, it really does stand alone because the characters are good and the story is good, but I have so I like the book that much more, because Hawke was such a great and important part Borden... pick up this book. It's too good to miss.
The wait for this book is finally here after the extraordinary events in Borden. Hawke was a dark, broody and dangerous right-handed man in Borden that I long to know more about. The story begin when Dennis and Hawke was close friends, Dennis asked Hawke the president of the Warlord's to place his little girl (Tyler) under the Warlord's MC protection unknown she had a crush on him. He utilized great control when it came to Tyler because the attraction between the two was enormous. Tyler was an extreme distraction to Hawke and the MC daily activities especially with her sly, slick and stubbornness. A dirty cop named Cockroach assaulted Tyler until Hawke walks on the scene and saw the evidence. Cockroach was killed, leaving Hawke to go away to prison. The president position was giving to Hawke's brother Hector. He was a womanizer, drunk and sorry butt president but paid Bordon to break Hawke out of prison due to the price-tag over his head. Hawke changed his appearance and remain dead to the world, but to the few in his MC club and his new boss Bordon. When Hawke returns to the club, the mess hit the fan!! It is well written and the story line is awesome with a loving MC family, a unexpected romance with a little bit of suspense, dark and gritty thrown in and I won't go into details to give the book away. Get it! It's definitely worth the read.
